A half-day briefing for firms successfully navigating GDPR

With the implementation deadline of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) fast approaching, firms need to act now to ensure data is compliant and processes and policies meet the future requirements.

The new regulations are far more restrictive than previous Data Protection Regulations with greater enforcement and significant penalties for breaches. Financial services firms, who process and control significant amounts of data about their customers, cannot afford to get this wrong, yet the majority are only just beginning to make sense of the requirements.

For over 17 years, Lorraine has worked in the financial services industry, across various sectors including secured and unsecured consumer finance and in compliance roles within global financial services businesses. At TCC, Lorraine supports FCA regulated business across the spectrum sectors improve compliance and effectively manage conduct risk. Lorraine is TCC’s resident GDPR specialist and is in the process of assisting a number of firms develop and undertake an audit and implementation plan that will ensure successful adherence by the approaching deadline. With a background in compliance and conduct risk, Lorraine has extensive experience in developing risk management frameworks, systems and controls, and monitoring and oversight to meet regulatory expectations.
